Our authentication process takes place across two stages: specialist review at source and our own meticulous review in New Zealand.

Our sourcing partners have specialist knowledge of the designer market and work with authentication teams who assess pieces before they are offered for sale.
We carefully select the suppliers we work with because the integrity of our collection begins long before a piece reaches New Zealand.
Reviewed Before It Reaches Us
Before pieces are purchased through our sourcing network, our suppliers’ authentication teams examine them for indicators of authenticity appropriate to the individual brand and model.
Only pieces that satisfy their authentication process proceed through our sourcing network.
Understanding The Piece
Where relevant and available, we review the information supplied with each piece, including provenance details, serial or date codes, accompanying accessories and supplier documentation.
These details help us understand the individual piece and form part of our overall review.
Important: Not every designer uses serial numbers, date codes or authentication cards, and their presence alone does not establish authenticity. We assess the piece as a whole.
A Second Review, With Us
Once a piece arrives at Luxury Revamped, it undergoes our own inspection before being photographed, listed or made available for purchase.
We examine the piece carefully, assessing:

Before a piece enters the Luxury Revamped collection, our team completes a final review of the authentication findings, physical inspection and condition assessment.
Only then is the piece photographed, described and prepared for its next chapter.
If a piece does not meet our standards, it does not enter the collection.

Authenticity is assessed through the overall consistency of the piece — its materials, construction, craftsmanship, markings, hardware, proportions and brand-specific characteristics.
Our approach is deliberately comprehensive because counterfeit pieces can reproduce individual details. The integrity of the whole piece matters.
